Pre-School Links at BramfieldChildren come to Bramfield Primary from a range of local nurseries and pre-schools, depending on where they live. They are able to start at school in the September of the school year in which they will become 5. Some children are full-time from September, and Spring and Summer born children have part-time sessions from 9-1 for the autumn and spring terms. The school continues the learning journey that is begun in the local pre-school settings, including :
Each setting has its own features to offer which parents consider when making choices about pre-school. (For example both Sunflower and Sibton nurseries offer delightful rural settings. Sunflower is situated on a farm and follows the Montessori method!) Halesworth Day Nursery is central in Hlesworth, and offers all day care from 8-6pm, and Bramfield has a collection arrangement whereby children can go onto the Halesworth Day Nursery after school if parents need it.) If you contact any of the above they will be happy to provide further information and visits. In summer 2008, the Stepping Stones Pre-School moved to a new setting adjacent to our school site and entered into a closer partnership (eg the school provides lunches for the pre-school children). This setting offers morning and afternoon sessions, and from Jan 09 is offering all-day care. Further details can be found on their website www.bramfieldpreschool.co.uk |
