Welcome to Bramfield Primary School

Bramfield School

Bramfield CEVC Primary School is a first school which caters for 4 - 9 year old children. It is one of a number of very small schools in North Suffolk that continue the traditions of being at the heart of a small village yet 'look outwards' to provide a high quality early education for the children.

With the closure of Cookley & Walpole Primary in summer 2008, Bramfield Primary School have been asked by Suffolk County Council to include the Cookley Walpole catchment area which includes parts or all of the villages of Cookley, Walpole, Heveningham, Ubbeston Green, Huntingfield, Chediston and Linstead Parva as well as Bramfield and Thorington.

It is situated, tucked away, just off the road that runs through the village of Bramfield from the A12 to Halesworth (turn right at the crossroads by the Queens Head).

Here, Thomas' dad is helping us to plant a young oak tree.
This was in a special assembly outside. The tree was planted in November 2008, to mark the joining of Cookley Walpole CEVC Primary with Bramfield CEVC Primary and we hope that it will grow and flourish with the children! This was another special event in the history of a school which was founded in 1872. Bramfield Primary is now a little bigger than in recent years! (60 children, 4 teachers and a great support team) it continues to offer a nurturing start to school life, which encourages collaborative learning, at the heart of a village community. With Stepping Stones pre-school now in new premises at Bramfield Village Hall next door to the school, we are able to offer an educational experience from 2-9 years! Take a look at the gallery and on-line brochure, to find out more about what we get up to !
